The Wheel
A fair random picker for table formats — next speaker, next question-asker, next topic. It can draw from the shared Participants list (guests only, or everyone), a separate list, or the built-in topics. It deals through the whole pool before anyone repeats, and randomness removes the host's thumb from the scale.
Formats that use it
- Rotating interviewer: spin for who hosts the next fifteen minutes (see rotating conductor).
- Question round: spin among the guests for who asks the guest of honor the next question.
- Topic dinner: spin a topic; the person to the host's left opens on it.
